Introducing Kara Ann: A Passionate Advocate for Animal Welfare
With 25 years of experience across all aspects of animal welfare, I bring a comprehensive skill set honed through hands-on roles that range from animal control officer to veterinary technician, shelter manager, and beyond. My journey includes expertise in shelter medicine, dog training, boarding and farm animal care, racehorse handling, farrier work, acupressure, holistic nutrition, and of course, professional grooming.
As the owner of a highly successful mobile grooming business, which is rated five stars and recognized as the top groomer in our area, I have witnessed firsthand the importance of quality care for animals. But I also recognized a significant need: many shelters, low-income families, and fixed-income households lack access to affordable grooming services.
In response, I founded Pals for Claws and Paws, a nonprofit dedicated to providing grooming services at little to no cost for those in need, including rescue shelters and families facing financial challenges.
